Extension of the standard warranty

Especially in these uncertain times, we want to reassure you that YANMAR stands by its customers. Therefore, we are offering an extension of the standard warranty so that boaters can enjoy a long and worry-free summer season.

What does this mean?

YANMAR is extending the standard warranty period until October 1, 2020, for sailing yacht and motorboat engines, Kanzaki gearboxes, as well as YANMAR sterndrives and saildrives with warranty end dates between March 1, 2020, and September 30, 2020. The extension of the standard warranty applies only to recreational use.

Conditions

To be eligible for this warranty extension, please register your product on the YANMAR Marine Support Portal.

Light commercial applications and charter applications are not covered by this warranty extension. The conditions of the standard warranty for recreational applications remain 24 months from the date of purchase by the first buyer. The extended 2+3 warranty for sailing yacht engines, as mentioned in the warranty booklet, is not affected by this warranty extension.
